about

This song was written during quarantine summer of 2020. It’s really about how easy things come and go and the uselessness of arguing or getting too excited or depressed about really
anything at all. Most things I don’t even remember happening after about a week or less, unless it’s really a life changing event. If I’m in a frivolous argument at work, or wherever, I find it easier to just go along with whatever the idea is whether I agree with it or not, if the person I disagree with is obviously not going to change in anyway, which is usually pretty obvious. The overall idea goes deeper though and is pulled from a zen teaching where a duck is used as an example. If you watch a duck on a pond, lake or ocean it’s expression (or whatever a duck does) never changes, no matter how big the waves, no matter how strong the wind. Whether or not it’s smooth sailing makes no difference to a duck. So the same goes for me/us. The only thing you can do is focus on what is happening right now with all of your power cause ultimately that’s the only doorway to the future. Anyhow, that’s what the song is about lol!

lyrics

I, I know that it’s out there But I walked away
Now it means nothing You, you got what you came for And then walked away Now it means nothing
"1
You, I know you’re looking for a friend
Someone that you can rely on
Someone that won’t talk shit if it eventually comes to an end Yeah you, how many times does it take
Before you look at yourself
And realize that you’re stuck in place that only you can change.
This too will pass This too will pass This too will pass This too will pass This too will pass This too will pass This too will pass This too will pass
